Job Position – Senior Executive Officer

Required Qualification and Exprience
Education: Master’s degree in business administration, Secretarial Science, communications, or related field required.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in an administrative or executive role, preferably at an international NGO or similar setting.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Experience coordinating travel logistics and event planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills in both Amharic and English, and ability to draft and edit docucents.
Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
Experience in supporting senior executives and handling multiple administrative tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with national laws and regulations related to travel and office administration.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence, reports and inquiries in English and Amharic. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, donors/sponsors, clients, vendors, organization partners, and the public in English or Amharic.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, percent, and calculates figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and currency conversion accurately.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Job requires intermediate computer skills including logging into systems, word processing, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, presentation creation/editing, database utilization, use of internet and communication by e-mail. Requires learning and ongoing use of AGCI’s databases.

REASONING ABILITY
Demonstrates discretion and discernment in handling highly confidential information and complex issues. Capable of identifying problems, analyzing data, and making sound conclusions while determining when to escalate matters to appropriate leaders.

Office-based position with occasional travel within Ethiopia to support program activities.
