We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. The ideal candidate will combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Job Position – Senior Accountant
Required Qualication and Experience
Education: BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
Proven experience as a senior accountant
Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
Experience with creating financial statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
Proficiency in English and familiarity with accounting languages such as GAAP and IFRS.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
Monitor and analyse accounting data to produce accurate financial reports.
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Meet financial accounting objectives.
Collaborate with the finance team to support various projects and initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications preferred.
Accounting work experience related to GIZ, NGOs, start-ups or businesses
Experience in e-commerce or tech start-ups.
Strong writing and number-crunching skills in finance.
Willingness to take on additional tasks related to finance and accounting.
