Job Position 1 – Senior Project Officer – Communications

Required Qualification and Exprience
Education: bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, or related studies; experience in INGOs or UN preferred.
Minimum three years in communication experience, ideally for an NGO or another organization in development and relief programming.
Excellent English oral and written language skills is required.
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, is strongly desired.

Roles and Key Responsibilities
In coordination with the Country Program Communications Manager and the JEOP Senior Communications Officer, create and implement a robust communications strategy that supports the donor needs, country program business goals and aligns with regional and agency strategy.
Write, design and manage the production of creative and compelling communication and marketing material –stories, photos, video, fact sheets, brochures, etc. – for various audiences, including public and private donors, local and national governments, local Church, partners, media and others as needed.
Lead and work with local creatives in the production of above marketing materials with final approval/review from HQ teams.
Work closely with the nutrition to ensure the delivery of high quality SBCC materials.
Develop specific messages tailored for each audience and identify and utilize effective distribution channels to disseminate communications materials to key audiences.
Ensure partners use high quality communications materials.
Provide marketing and communications support for events, including signage, handouts, talking points, photos, liaising with media, etc.
Train and coach relevant partners on best practices in communications.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that all financial deliverables are met in a high quality and timely fashion.
Work closely with RFSA Project Managers and Partners to review and explain budget levels, timelines, allowability, etc.
Support partners to prepare quarterly forecast and monthly cash request, verify whether they are accurate, valid, and are supported by necessary attachments.
Coordinate with the PMs to ensure that all expenditure requests are consistent with budget allocations, quarterly planning with CRS policy and donor requirements, and bring any irregularities to the attention of the RFSA COP and DCOP – Operations.
Ensure by closely working with RFSA Project Managers, Partners and CRS finance team that all advances to partners are released on time.
Facilitate development of annual budget plans and forecasts.
Ensure to track budgets including modification, advances, liquidations, questioned costs and alert the Finance staff for timely clearance.
Process routine grant management documents, including periodic reports and review payment requests following applicable rules and procedures.
Maintain separate files for each partner, complete with all the necessary documents. (Approved Project Budget, Budget amendments, grant agreements, grant modifications, information on opening and closing dates of projects.).
