Job Position 1 – Chief Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly advantageous
Experience: Candidate needs several years (minimum 5 years in a senior role) of management experience in accounting, particularly in corporate settings.
Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software (ERP system), exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Leadership Skills: Experience in managing teams and leading finance-related projects is essential. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight: Manage the entire accounting department, ensuring the integrity of financial data and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, oversee daily accounting activities including ledger entries, reconciliations, and settlements
Reporting: Responsible for preparing accurate financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually), which are essential for informed decision-making. Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management and regulatory authorities.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management in budgeting processes and monitor performance against budgets.
Policy Development: This role involves developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance within the organization.
Team Leadership: Oversee and supervise accounting staff, fostering a collaborative environment to produce reliable financial data. Lead and mentor the accounting team, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs .
Tax Management: Monitoring tax matters and ensuring that all transactions comply with local tax laws (critical). Staying up to date with local tax regulations.
Compliance and Auditing: Liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Facilitate the annual audit process.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
