Job Position 1 – Migration Projects Coordinator

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Education Background in Social Sciences such as a Masters/ BA in Migration, Social Work, Development Studies, Economics, Sociology, Community Development, Applied Psychology, Sociology, and other related fields
Experience and Knowledge: 8/10 years’ experience in a similar position in a humanitarian organization or NGO, with more than 3 years’ experience in the area migration related vulnerabilities response and social cohesion programming (3 years for MA and 5 years for BA)
Experience working in the area of displacement (e.g. with internally displaced people, host communities, refugees and returnees)
At least 5 years of project management experience including reporting
Good leadership, organizational communication, and advocacy skills
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills for building synergies and collaboration with partners, beneficiaries, and donor agencies
Ability to develop, monitor, report, and evaluate activities
Strong facilitation skills and knowledge of adult learning methodologies
Experience in supervision and mentoring
Self-supporting in computers (Windows, spreadsheets, PowerPoint)
Ability to effectively work remotely if necessary (via email, online)
Languages: Fluency in English-spoken and written
Fluency in Amharic – spoken and written
Knowledge of other local languages relevant for the project could be an advantage.

Job Position 2 – Project Coordinator (PC)

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Master’s / BA degree in social science or in project management or related field of studies.
Experience: 8/10 years of relevant work experience in second degree and first degree respectively in relevant areas.
Professional experience working in the International Humanitarian & Development organization managing projects funded through international donor agencies.
Certificate or training and experience working on Wash in School and health project is key.

Competencies and Skills:
Technical expertise in the social (e.g. migration), DRM, WASH and Health field.
Strong knowledge and experience in project cycle management.
Good IT skills in particular in Microsoft Office Application (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) etc.
Be able to adapt to the situation, and able to work under highly stressful conditions.
Willing to travel regularly to very remote areas of Ethiopia for work purpose.
Showing full responsibility for tasks assigned, presenting a motivated and persevering personality with a good spirit of cooperation, proving good analytical skills.
Good planning, management and coordination skills, respecting deadlines and proving an ability to organise a workload comprised of varying and changing tasks and responsibilities.
Demonstrated capacity in supervising/training others to develop project management skills.
Experience working in multicultural and multi-national team.
Taking responsibility, motivated and persevering personality, spirit of cooperation, good analytical skills,
Knowledge of the Red Cross’ fundamental principles and the Red Cross Movements is an added advantage.
Languages:Good communication skills (fluency in both written and spoken communication) in Amharic and English.
Knowledge of other Ethiopian languages (relevant for Oromia, SNNPR) is an asset.
