As a pioneering national NGO, it has been serving the needy through transformational investment operating Seven branches and area projects in different regions and a university college in Addis Ababa City administration. HOPE involved in holistic human development with concrete interventions by ways of basic care, education, vocational training, job and business mediation and values development.

Job Position  – IT Specialist

Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s degree/MA in Computer Science, Information Technology, software engineering, or related field.
5 years for Bachelor degree or three years work experience in information technology, software development, and related area.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Customer service-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Professional, like ) are a plus.

Key duties and responsibilities

System Maintenance and Issue Resolution:

Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems and networks within Hope Enterprises.
Promptly address any hardware, software, or network issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Conduct regular system maintenance tasks to optimize performance and prevent potential issues.

Collaboration and Project Support:

Collaborate with management to identify, develop, and implement new IT initiatives that align with Hope Enterprises’ organizational objectives.
Provide crucial support to branches and projects within Hope Enterprises by assisting in the planning, execution, and maintenance of IT systems and solutions.
Participate in project meetings to provide technical expertise and support as needed.

Website and Social Network Management:

Regularly monitor and maintain the website’s technical infrastructure, including servers, databases, and other components, to ensure optimal performance and reliability
Conduct regular testing of the website’s functionality, including navigation, forms, and interactive elements, to identify and resolve any issues or bugs promptly.
Continuously assess and improve the website’s user experience
Assist and manage Hope Enterprises’ website, ensuring content is up-to-date, accurate, and engaging.
Collaborate with the management and communication team at Hope Enterprises to develop strategies for effective utilization of social networks to promote the organization’s mission and activities.
Monitor social media channels for Hope Enterprises, engage with followers, and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner.
Analyse website traffic and social media metrics for Hope Enterprises to measure the effectiveness of online campaigns and initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement as needed.

Technological Advancements:

Stay abreast of technological advancements in the IT field, including hardware, software, and security trends, to support the specific needs and objectives of Hope Enterprises.
Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance, security measures, and operational efficiency within Hope Enterprises.
Implement best practices and standards to ensure that Hope Enterprises remains current and competitive in its IT infrastructure.

End-User Training and Support:

Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to end-users within Hope Enterprises on the effective utilization of technology.
Provide on-going technical support and assistance to end-users at Hope Enterprises, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance as needed.
Promote a culture of IT literacy and proficiency among staff members at Hope Enterprises to maximize the organization’s technological resources.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of system configurations, software licenses, and hardware inventory within Hope Enterprises.
Generate regular reports on system performance, security vulnerabilities, and IT support activities specific to Hope Enterprises for management review.
Document standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides tailored to the needs of Hope Enterprises to facilitate knowledge sharing and support continuity.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures within Hope Enterprises to safeguard data integrity and protect against cyber threats.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to IT systems, data privacy, and information security within Hope Enterprises.
Conduct regular security audits and assessments within Hope Enterprises to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures.

Vendor Management and Procurement:

Provide technical input during the procurement process to ensure that the IT materials or components being considered meet the organization’s requirements in terms of functionality, compatibility, and scalability.
Assist in evaluating potential vendors or suppliers based on factors such as product quality, reliability, reputation, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with the procurement team to establish quality assurance criteria and testing protocols for evaluating IT materials or components upon receipt.
Conduct thorough testing to verify that the products meet specified requirements and standards before deployment within the organization.

Special Skills:

Job Position 2 – Finance Manager

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Bachelor degree in accounting or in business administration or in other relevant field of study
Work Experience: 11 years relevant experience Bachelor Degree, 7 years for Master’s degree out of which 2 is related to the actual post
Experience in Managing / coordinating the finance Department of an NGO is preferable.

Special Training
Peachtree and basic computer skills, and other updated financial trainings and procedures

Other Requirements

Good Interpersonal skills,
Practical experience in developing as well as working with financial policies, procedures and systems,
Good knowledge of local and international context,
Knowledge of and passion for holistic development

Job Position 3 – Assistant Executive Director

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Minimum Bachelor Degrees or Masters Degree in Management, Business Administration, Social work, Sociologist, Economics, Development studies, or in other relevant field of study
Work Experience: A minimum of 11 years of related experience in national /international NGO after graduation of BA degree 11 years, for Master’s degree years of related Experience in national CS Can international NGO. Of which 2 years of experience should be on supervisory or management role National or International NGO.

Special Training
Special training on project management, operation management, resource management, Administration, strategic planning, leae Change and transformation, property management, HR, procurlegislation in areas of employment, IT/operations management.

Job Position 4 – Business Development Officer

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Masters or Bachelor Degrees in   Business Administration, economics or in other relevant social sciences field of study
A minimum of 6 years of experience in business management and NGO program management   or 8 years of Experience after Bachelor Degree. Of which 3 years of experience should be on the actual post of managing business or proposal writing in business organization, National or International NGO.
Special training proposal writing, consultancy, computer Microsoft packages, Administration, strategic planning, leadership,
Language Requirements:Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic. Other Ethiopian language skill has an add advantage
