Job Position 1 – Finance & Admin Assistant

Required Qualification and Experience
Eduation: Bachelor degree in Management or Accounting or related field with two years of related experience. OR
Diploma in Management or Accounting or related field with four years of related experience
NGO experience is advantageous
Good computer skill in MS Offices and operating office equipment (Scanning, Photocopy …)

Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for the following duties:

Handling of Cash Collection:
Collect pay checks/cash from staffs and/or customers.
Maintain cash collection and other confidential documents in safe box.
Prepare Cash Receipt Vouchers and deposit slips and make timely deposits to respective banks.
Ensure proper filling of Cash Receipt Vouchers.

Preparing and Paying of Checks:
Ensure that Payment Requests are sufficiently supported by source documents and required authorizations are in place.
Prepare Bank Payment Vouchers, checks & bank transfer letters.
Cancel supporting documents with “PAID” stamps.
Maintain register of pay check and informs staff and customer when payments are ready.
Distribute/pay checks/Bank transfer letters against collection of receipts, Bank advice and/or signature of recipients.
Prepare withholding tax receipt, assist in the preparation of tax reports and settle monthly withholding and income tax payments.

Proper Filling of Financial Documents:

Maintains proper filling of vouchers, ledgers, reports, and other records.
Scan documents for reporting to ICAP NY and for electronic filling/back-up of monthly financial documents.

Job Position 2 – VAT and Tax Accountant

Required Qualification and Experience
Eduation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two years’ and above related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from partners and donors.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Explorer Internet software.

Job Description

Prepare monthly withholding tax reports and submit the same for settlement timely.
Prepare monthly income tax reports and submit the same for settlement timely.
Prepare VAT reimbursement request reports on monthly basis and submit the same to CDC and USAID.
Maintain VAT reimbursement request ledger for both CDC and USAID grants.
Maintain a copy of documents for each reimbursement requests made to CDC and USAID on a separate file.
Handle VAT related queries timely and speedup the reimbursement process.
Follow up VAT reimbursement requests and report the status on quarter basis.
He/she will handle any other duties assigned from his/her immediate supervisor
