Position 1 – Purchaser
Education: Business Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience: 1-3 years of work experience in the relevant field
Analytical and problem-solving mind
Go-getter in attitude
Work nature: at least 5-10 days per month travel within Addis Ababa or Adama.
Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate assess and onboard local suppliers.
Align with cross-functional team for the purchase of the relevant items
Negotiate for better price and delivery terms
Compare technical requirements systematically
Implement and maintain purchasing procedures in the ERP software
Maintain the safety stock of the relevant items
Supplier invoice control in line with company guidelines.
Agree contract terms with the suppliers
Follow up and report on agreed KPI’s
Follow the authority matrix for approval process.
Issue purchase orders to suppliers in line with company guidelines.
Storing the records for audit purpose
