Job Position 1 – Finance Assistant

Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Diploma/First Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline. Compensating Education + Experience can be considered.
Three years and more progressive experience in the non-profit organization and mainly experience gained in the INGO is required.
Experience working with WFP and USAID/DFID grants at least for two years
Demonstrated competency with computerized general ledger software
Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly in Excel
Prior management experience and strong organizational skills
Excellent oral and written English skills

Job Position 2 – Driver

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: 3rd Grade or above Valid Driving License.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Driver preferably in an International NGO.
Experience in repairing Vehicles is an advantage.
Ability to communicate in both Amharic & English languages and knowledge of AFARI Language is preferred.
Knowledge of routes, duty stations, project areas, the NGO and diplomatic community is required.

Essential Job Functions
Operate MC vehicles as assigned by supervisor.
Maintain vehicle log-sheets in accordance with MC policies/regulations.
Check the vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely – report needs and problems to transport management.
Adhere to all safety and communication protocols as advised by Mercy Corps and supervisor.
Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares etc.
Keep the vehicle ready, clean and on standby – ready for use all the time.
Assist, as required, with logistics in the office and with the daily workloads.
Cooperate and be of assistance to staff and visitors – assist in troubleshooting potential problems during daily business.
Report all maintenance needs of the vehicle to transport management on a regular basis.
Undertake field assignments as assigned.
Adherence to all MC policies and procedures as outlined in MC policies and procedure manuals.
Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission in country of operation.

Job Position 3 – Innovations and Investments Fund Manager – Highland Resilience Activity: Addis Ababa

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Masters’ degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, or Bachelors’ degree with significant additional experience.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in enterprise development; investment management; and working in partnership with private sector actors in on-farm, off-farm, wage and employment, nutrition, governance, and increasing commercialization and ensuring greater sustainability of partnerships.
Good understanding of market systems Development approach and facilitation including coaching, relationship building, communicating, open and willing to work on new initiatives.
Good understanding of the innovations and investment process is essential.
Proven skills in strategic planning, assessment, and business development, as well as a proven practical and theoretical understanding of the project cycle related to private sector investments.
Excellent communicator and able to engage private sector actors by socializing key interests and objectives of the program and be able to attract private sector investments.
Demonstrated ability to develop proposals for new projects and programs from conception to submission.
Demonstrated experience and ability to professionally and appropriately represent the organization and negotiate and defend Mercy Corps’ interests with a diverse range of international and local organizations, private sectors, and other groups.
Demonstrated understanding of complex developmental and transitional contexts, particularly in a resilience context, preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task and support and/or fill multiple positions at one time.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines, and work both independently and cooperatively with team members.
Experience of working on USAID programs preferred.
Fluency in spoken and written English is required and knowledge of the local languages in Ethiopia.
