PETCO Ethiopia Recycling Community Organization (PETCO Ethiopia) is a non-for-profit And Volunteers Producers Responsibility organization incorporated in 2019 to represent the Ethiopian manufacturing industry’s joint effort to self-regulate in waste recycling. PETCO Ethiopia seeks to minimize the environmental impact of post-consumer plastic on the Ethiopian landscape through growing the collection & recycling of plastic waste; supporting existing & new green jobs and recycling initiatives; and promoting a strong focus on public & consumer education & awareness programs. PETCO Ethiopia operates throughout Ethiopia and has its head office in Addis Ababa.
The intern will be responsible for implementing the activities of this project under the supervision of the program Manager.

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Degree in IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking, Programming, and Information Systems)

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for the prompt delivery of IT services to support business operations, and for the timely resolution of reported incidents, data management, website administration and provide routine problems shooting support. Some of the activities are but not limited to:
Manage the overall technology infrastructure for the Organization including planning, implementation, and management of the software and hardware infrastructure that support administrative and program operations.
Act as the principal administrator and ensure the maintenance of the Organization’s systems, including general computer support; software installations; networks and server set up and management; database administration; network, printers, audio/video conferencing and mobile phone support; deployment of equipment; management of inventories and disaster recovery.
In-depth evaluation of ICT capacity of organization, identification of gaps and new areas where computerization is advantageous and applicable and recommendation of applicable systems and software packages to use.
Propose and design effective data administration systems throughout the operation of the organization.
Administer digital platforms of the organization and create digital contents and graphic presentations to be used for promotional and communication purposes.
Provide user training (staff and beneficiaries) on common business applications and use of systems.
Establishment of control systems to ensure that all information technology equipment is maintained regularly and in proper working condition.
Develop and update IT processes and procedural manuals, and ensure they are properly documented.
Support the procurement process for IT equipment and services.
Conduct proactive monitoring of IT systems performance and execute required maintenance activities to ensure stable and reliable performance.
Provide required end-user training for specific IT solutions and services, including refresher training to minimize “how-to” incidents.
Ensure Technical systems (Microsoft 365, MS Office, Windows OS, Telephony, Videoconference, etc.) are properly documented and maintained.
Mange PETCO Ethiopia Website, interactive digital platform and provide technical support in networking.
Undertake such other duties as may be requested by the supervisor.
