Job Position 1 – Administrative & Program Support Rover U.S. Citizen Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) – All Agencies (Part-time)
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:- Completion of two years post-secondary education is required.
Experience: Three years of office administration and management experience is required.
Duties
The Administrative and Program Support Rover position provides administrative, data analysis/report, program/project coordination, or management support to post. In addition to administrative and program support, this position provides cleared escort responsibilities. This position addresses short-term assignments as needed by post including staffing gaps, ad-hoc projects, and/or short-term workload increases. Post MGT/HRO/DHRO supervises the Rover position, but the incumbent will receive work guidance from the supervisor in the assigned section.
Language: English – Fluent in speaking, reading and writing is required. (This may be tested).
Knowledge:
Knowledge of office management and core tools such as the core Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint SharePoint) and computer literacy (keyboarding, internet searches), in order to perform assignment and do basic troubleshooting on information technology issues.
Skills and Abilities:
Skill in working with people from varied backgrounds, educational levels, and cultural surroundings in order to create and maintain an amiable and success-oriented working environment.
Professional judgment to make decisions within areas of responsibility to move projects forward and achieve section goals on-time. This includes knowing when it is necessary to seek guidance from more experienced employees.
Strong professional communication skills in writing and speaking. This includes ability to draft, format, and edit correspondence, report, memo, and other documentation as required. Ability to speak effectively and with clarity and conciseness. (This may be tested)
Job Position 2 – Logistics Team Lead (Supply Assistant) – All Interested Applicants/All Sources If you previously (applied Addis-2023-047 you do not need to re-apply)
Required Qualification and Experience
Education and Experience: At least 2 (two) years of college or university studies in logistics, management or business administration is required.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in warehousing, inventory, or property management is required, with one year of experience supervising subordinate staff in any field.
Duties
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Property Supervisor, is in charge of providing labor and transportation services for all Property Management functions and for moving and transferring property from one location to another. Makes sure that all property transactions are authorized, approved in writing, and all property transaction documents have the necessary signatures. Coordinates and directs logistics crews and resources in day-to-day activities. Is responsible for making sure that crews operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Department and Post Policies. Directly supervises 2 truck drivers and 15 Warehouse workers.
Language: Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing Amharic is required. This may be tested.
Level 4 (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. This may be tested.
(You are required to pass the English Placement Test (EPT) that is conducted by the Human Resources Office).
Skills and abilities:
Must have ability to interact and communicate clearly and tactfully in a multicultural environment; follow instructions with strong attention to detail; and work effectively with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize competing interests, coordinate multiple tasks, and adjust to changing requirements in a very fast-paced environment is essential. Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency, including ILMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have a 2nd Grade/Auto valid Ethiopian driver’s license for a minimum of 5 years and be able to operate a manual/automatic transmission (stick-shift) and automatic vehicle. (These may be tested)
