Job Position-Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
Hands-on experience using the ERCA/eTax System for tax filing and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree, Odoo, or similar ERP systems).
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Apps.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Process tax declarations and statutory filings using the ERCA/eTax System.
Manage VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, pension, and other statutory obligations.
Prepare and process payroll in coordination with HR.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Greet clients and visitors, handle phone calls, manage email inquiries, and schedule internal team meetings.
Provide basic HR administrative support (maintaining staff attendance/leave records) and assist with procurement tasks for tech projects as needed.
Maintain official company documentation, letters, client files, and contract archives in a structured filing system.
Oversee daily office operations, ensure a clean and professional workspace, and keep stock of office supplies and stationery
