Job Position- Finance and Administration Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant work experience in finance and administration, preferably in an NGO, healthcare, or similar service-oriented institution.
Solid knowledge of financial management principles, bookkeeping, and reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with Ethiopian tax, labor, and financial regulations.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Job Summary
The Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, administrative operations, and compliance functions at Hawassa Medical Center. The role ensures accurate financial recording and reporting, supports budget management, and provides administrative support that enables the smooth operation of clinical and support services at the center.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day financial transactions including cash and bank management, payments, and receipts in line with Mary Joy Ethiopia’s financial policies and procedures.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income and expense statements for clinical service lines (dialysis, OPD, laboratory, pharmacy, X-ray, ultrasound, and other services).
Support the preparation of biweekly, quarterly, and annual financial and progress reports.
Maintain complete and organized financial records, vouchers, and supporting documentation for audit readiness.
Assist in budget preparation, budget monitoring, and variance analysis for the Medical Center.
Handle payroll processing, staff benefits administration, and statutory deductions (tax, pension) in compliance with Ethiopian labor law.
Oversee administrative functions including procurement support, inventory and asset management, and facility administration.
Ensure compliance with Mary Joy Ethiopia’s internal controls, financial policies, and relevant government regulations.
Coordinate with the Head Office Finance and Admin Head on financial and administrative matters.
Support the Medical Service Coordinator with documentation related to the ongoing hospital construction project and other institutional needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
