Job Position-Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting certification or progress toward a recognized professional qualification is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or financial management.
Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, bank reconciliation, payroll, tax and statutory compliance, and budget monitoring.
Experience in NGOs, CSOs, research institutions, or donor-funded projects is highly desirable.
Experience in grant accounting and donor financial reporting is an advantage.
Practical experience using accounting software, preferably QuickBooks or similar systems.
Good knowledge of Ethiopian tax, pension, and financial requirements.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with financial data.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Experience managing finances for multiple projects or grants.
Experience working with international donors and institutional partners.
Experience establishing or strengthening financial systems and internal controls.
Knowledge of accounting standards and good financial management practices.
Experience supporting external audits and donor financial reviews.
