Job Position-ACCOUNTANT & CASHIER
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of professional accounting/cashier experience.
Practical knowledge of Ethiopian VAT and income tax.
Experience with cash handling, reconciliation, inventory, and payroll.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with Peachtree/Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar accounting software is an advantage.
Experience in automotive, spare parts, vehicle sales, retail, or trading businesses is preferred.
Honest, organized, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Record and maintain all daily financial transactions.
Handle cash, bank, sales receipts, payments, and daily cash reconciliation.
Issue receipts/invoices and accurately record customer payments.
Manage petty cash and maintain proper supporting documents.
Record spare-parts and vehicle sales and purchases.
Maintain and reconcile inventory records.
Prepare monthly Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Trial Balance.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable.
Prepare employee payroll and related deductions.
Calculate and prepare VAT and income tax obligations.
Ensure timely tax filings and maintain tax documentation.
Prepare regular financial and sales reports for management.
Identify and report cash, inventory, or accounting discrepancies.
Maintain organized and confidential financial records.
