Job Position -Junior Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from a recognized institution.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
Basic knowledge of Ethiopian tax requirements, including VAT, withholding tax, and payroll (income) tax.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related finance role.
Hands-on experience preparing tax declarations and making tax payments.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Peachtree/Sage, or similar systems.
Experience or interest in manufacturing, food production, or hospitality accounting.
Professional certification progress (for example, CPA or ACCA) or a commitment to pursuing it.
Skills and Competencies

Integrity: Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
Analytical thinking: Ability to spot errors and inconsistencies and trace them to their source.
Organization: Ability to manage multiple daily tasks, keep records in order, and meet tax and reporting deadlines.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication, in English and Amharic.
Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across departments and branches.
Initiative: Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and grow within the role.
