Job Position-Protection Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Law, Human Rights, Development Studies, or a related field.
5 Years and Above Relevant experience in protection, humanitarian assistance, community development, or social services.
Experience working with vulnerable populations, including internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, children, women, and other at-risk groups.
Knowledge of protection principles, case management, referral mechanisms, and humanitarian standards.
Experience in report writing, data collection, and community engagement.
Experience working with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is an advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good assessment, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
Knowledge of safeguarding and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse.
Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
Fluency in the required local language Tigrigna and English, depending on the organization’s requirements.
