Job Position-Chief Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Several years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency with accounting software like CNET, Peachtree, Revenue online tax filing and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Cordially,
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the accounting department and accounting staff.
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and cash-flow reports.
Monitor the organization’s financial performance and provide management with financial analysis.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and government requirements.
Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
Establish and maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
Review bank reconciliations, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
Monitor cash management and oversee banking activities.
Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
Work closely with senior management to support financial decision-making.
Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.
Train, supervise, and evaluate accounting staff.
Requirement Skill
Bookkeeping through Excel or TurboTax
Attention to detail
Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS and ERP
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Basic Accounting Knowledge
Accounting, Finance or a related field; an MA/MSc
