Job Position -1 Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
•Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of highly relevant experience in accounting, general ledger maintenance, and corporate/institutional tax administration (prior experience in an international school, NGO, or diplomatic mission environment is highly desirable).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1.Technical Competency & Problem Solving
•System Mastery: Excellent skills in QuickBooks, MS Word, and Advanced MS Excel (understanding concepts of databases, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data modeling). Experience with PowerSchool or educational databases is a major asset.
•Tax Competency: Strong analytical skills regarding tax compliance regulations and direct experience navigating Ministry of Revenue clearance/refund workflows.
•Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to untangle ledger discrepancies and manage data tracking.
2.Organization, Detail, & Operational Execution
•Precision: Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry, invoice matching, and reconciliation.
•Time Management: Ability to balance competing priorities, manage payment cycles, and meet month-end closing deadlines.
•Agility & Drive: Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision with the ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
•Flexibility: Adaptable and open to process improvements, alongside a willingness to work overtime or respond to emergencies as needed during peak audit or closing periods.
3. Communication, Teamwork, & Collaboration
•Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills; tactful yet assertive verbal and written skills for managing delinquent customer collections, resolving vendor inquiries, and interacting with government officials.
•Cross-Functional Teamwork: Ability to collaborate across departments and work as part of a team in a cooperative, multicultural school environment.
Job Position -2 Senior Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
•Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or middle-level management position.
