Job Position-Coffee Storekeeper
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s Degree in:
Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Accounting, Business Management or a related field.
Experience:Minimum of 4 years of relevant warehouse/storekeeping experience in a coffee processing, food processing, or coffee/food export company.
Experience handling green coffee or other agricultural commodities is an advantage.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The candidate should demonstrate:
Good warehouse management skills.
Inventory control knowledge.
Stock counting and reconciliation skills.
Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO.
Basic understanding of coffee storage and handling.
Good documentation and recordkeeping skills.
Basic knowledge of food safety and warehouse hygiene.
Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to operate an ERP/inventory management system is an advantage.
Ability to prepare basic inventory reports.
AUTHORITY
The Coffee Storekeeper is authorized to:
Receive materials based on approved documentation.
Verify quantities and physical condition of incoming stock.
Store materials in designated locations.
Issue materials against authorized requisitions.
Reject or hold deliveries with significant quantity/documentation discrepancies pending supervisor review.
Report damaged, contaminated, missing, or incorrectly documented stock.
Request corrective action when warehouse procedures are not followed.
The Storekeeper shall not independently approve purchases, stock adjustments, write-offs, or unauthorized stock releases.
