Job Position-Video Editor
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Path A
TVET Certificate or Diploma, Level III or IV, in Film and Television Production, Multimedia Technology, Journalism and Communications, Graphic Design, or a closely related field.
At least five years of relevant professional video-editing or post-production experience.
Path B
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, Computer, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or another relevant engineering field.
Two to four years of professional video-editing experience.
Essential requirements
A portfolio or showreel demonstrating professional video-editing ability.
At least one year of experience editing long-form videos of 10 minutes or longer.
Professional proficiency in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent editing software.
Ability to edit multicamera projects and work with nested sequences, compound clips, proxies, or optimized media.
Experience cleaning dialogue audio, reducing noise, balancing music and effects, and preparing audio for digital platforms.
Knowledge of colour correction, shot matching, scopes, log footage, and LUTs.
