Job Position-Senior Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in an FMCG, beverage, distribution, or logistics environment.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, financial modeling) and hands-on experience with accounting ERP software.
Industry Skills: Solid working knowledge of distribution accounting, inventory reconciliation, route sales auditing, and tax compliance.
Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, high ethical standards, and clear communication skills across sales, operations, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Ledger: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the distribution business in compliance with local accounting standards and Miawa Group reporting guidelines.
Route & Channel Sales Reconciliation: Perform daily and weekly reconciliations of cash, and credit sales.
Inventory & Cost Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting for all SKU sizes (0.33L, 0.5L, 1L, and 2L), reconcile physical stock counts against ledger records, track product breakages/losses, and calculate cost of goods sold (COGS).
Operational Expense & Budget Tracking: Monitor operational expenses—including fleet maintenance, fuel, driver allowances, and marketing promotional tools—against approved budgets and maintain systematic performance reports.
Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead month-end close procedures, revenue recognition, accruals, bank reconciliations, and variance analysis to present clear financial insights to management.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all tax regulations (VAT, Withholding Tax, Payroll Tax, and Corporate Income Tax), ensuring timely calculations, filings, and payments.
Audit Preparation & Internal Controls: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, maintaining complete audit trails and enforcing internal financial controls over cash collection and credit terms.
