Job Position–Chinese translator
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Fluency in Chinese, English and Amharic (spoken and written).
Proven experience as a translator or interpreter is preferred.
Strong understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context in both languages.
Ability to translate documents accurately and efficiently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office and translation tools is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience in business, construction, or technical environments is an advantage.
About the Job
Translate documents, contracts, reports, and emails from Chinese to English and vice versa.
Provide interpretation support during meetings, negotiations, and site visits.
Ensure accurate translation of technical, business, and administrative materials.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information.
Review and proofread translated documents for accuracy and clarity.
Assist Chinese-speaking staff with communication and coordination.
Support management with cross-cultural communication when required
Requirement Skill
Ability to support Resident Engineer in technical and administrative tasks
• Strong coordination and networking skills
Ability to manage many requests at once.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work under pressure.
