Job Position-Translator ( Chinese to Amharic)
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Education: High School Diploma or above
Fluent spoken Chinese and Amharic — able to do consecutive on-site interpretation accurately and without omissions.
Basic written translation ability — able to produce clear Amharic documents from Chinese source material.
Basic English is a plus for day-to-day communication.
Experience:Prior experience as a factory or industrial interpreter is preferred.
Background in printing, packaging, or manufacturing is a strong advantage.
Candidates without factory experience are welcome to apply if they are fast learners and willing to master printing terminology quickly.
Familiarity with local work culture — able to communicate sensitively and avoid unnecessary conflict.
Personal Qualities
Honest and objective — interprets faithfully without bias or distortion of information.
Discreet — maintains strict confidentiality on salaries, disciplinary matters, and internal plans.
Punctual and reliable — available for morning briefings and overtime when required.
Proactive — takes initiative to build vocabulary in printing and workshop terminology.
Calm and patient under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility.
