Job Position – Finance Intern

Required Qualification and Experience
Qualification: BSC In Accounting, Business Administration, management and related fields.
Experience: Not Required/0-1 Year Maximum

Ability to work in a stressful situation, can multi task, excellent writing skill, team player and problem solver
Grants, Contracts and Budget Section works on different Units and projects.  Managing CO budget in various Units – SRH, WASH, Livelihood for Resilience, Strengthening PSNP4 Institution for Resilience / SPIR, Pastoral, Emergency and Urbans. The unit works to change the communities’ indifferent projects and to address to the communities’ problem.

Additional Qualification:

Good written and verbal Amharic, English, and language skills
Good computer proficiency (i.e., Ms. Word, excel,)
Firm belief in gender equality and sensitivity to vulnerable groups
Team player, flexible and ability to work under multi-cultural working setting
Quick learning ability, communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Courage, accountability, respect, excellence, planning and organizing, initiating action, innovation, interpersonal skill, stress tolerance.

The intern will be engaged in:

Work with the Senior Award specialist to adapt the different donor requirements,
Participate in preparing the Grant file, Donor agreement, budget, Award and PID setup, financial reports, audit report and related project documents.
Assist the VAT claim report for the donor of USAID, EU and ADA,
Participate in preparing the budget revision.
Assist to prepare the management report.
Assist to prepare the donor financial report.
Assist to compile the cash forecast / request to Account Payable section.
Assist to compile the New Business Developments at Senior Award specialist hands.
Assist to compile the updated Support Program Cost budget.
Assist to compile PAR allocation of staffs (PQL, PSS)
Assist to preparing the adjustment.
Assist to enter / upload journals and adjustments to the PeopleSoft.
Assist to provide the documents for Project Audit
Assist the unit in documentation of different projects,
Any other activity requested by the supervisor.
