Required Qualification and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed. or B.A.) from a recognized university in Civic and Ethical Education teaching, along with teaching certification/license. Must also hold a Master’s Degree (M.Ed. or M.A.) with a specialization in Civic and Ethical Education.

Applicants should register in person by bringing their original educational credentials and work experience documents, along with non-returnable photocopies and a passport-sized photograph, to either of the following registration locations:
Jimma Site: Jimma University Human Resource Administration and Development Directorate Office.
Addis Ababa Site: Jimma University Liaison Office located at Bole International, 5th Building, Office No. 402 (Addis Ababa Fax: 011-157 56 10).
Minimum GPA and Academic Requirements (Lecturer Level)
For General Applicants: Must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 for Master’s Degree and 3.25 for Bachelor’s Degree. Or, for some categories of Master’s Degree, 3.25 and Bachelor’s Degree 3.00.
For Persons with Disabilities: Must have a minimum GPA of 3.15 for Master’s Degree and 2.50 for Bachelor’s Degree.
For Female Applicants & Candidates from Developing Regions / Pastoralist Areas: Must have a minimum GPA of 3.15 for Master’s Degree and 2.50 for Bachelor’s Degree.
Thesis Requirement: Master’s Degree thesis grade must be “Very Good” or above.
Age Limit: Must not be older than 45 years.
Experience Requirement: At least 5 years of teaching experience in a secondary school.
Performance Evaluation: Must have a performance evaluation score of 85% or above for two consecutive years (specifically covering the 2017 E.C. and 2018 E.C. academic years).
Registration Period
