Job Position 1 – Junior Accountant

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.

Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for payment preparation, bank reconciliation, petty cash handling, invoice collection, VAT and withholding tax reporting at Kubik.

Duties and Responsibilities

Payments:
Prepare cheques, payment letters and RTGS forms.
Prepare withholding tax voucher
Complete online payment procedures accurately for electronic transfers in Birr.

Handle Petty Cash: 
Custody petty cash for the office
Replenish it on time
Proper documentation and reporting

Weekly Bank Reconciliation:
Daily Cash Balance Report with Unissued Cheque Updates:
Prepare a daily report of cash balances, including any unissued cheques.
Update the report as cheques are issued or canceled.

Collection of Delayed Invoices:
Communicate with employee and suppliers for delayed invoices.

VAT and Withholding Tax Report:
Compile all invoices for the month and prepare monthly VAT and Withholding report
Record Store Issue Voucher to Peachtree

Competencies & Skills:
Experienced in accounting software such as Peachtree/ Sage 50
Knowledge of Accounting principles
Detail-oriented, Willing to learn.
Integrity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Language: Amharic & English

Job Position 2 – Senior Sourcing Officer

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any social field and 5-7 years of experience.
Proven experience in Supply chain management.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management tools.

Job Summary:
As a Senior sourcing officer you will be overseeing collection sites, partnerships, warehouses, and sourcing teams with a focus on women empowerment, transportation. This role involves a diverse set of responsibilities, emphasizing leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to sustainability and women’s empowerment within the context of plastic waste management.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Collection Site Management: Supervise and optimize the operation of plastic waste collection sites, ensuring efficient processes and timely collection.
Partnership Development: Establish and nurture partnerships with local businesses, communities, and NGOs to enhance plastic waste sourcing efforts and promote collaborative sustainability initiatives.
Warehouse Management: Oversee the storage and inventory management of collected plastic waste, ensuring proper organization and timely processing.
Sourcing Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sourcing team, providing guidance in identifying and engaging with local suppliers, cooperates and waste collection agencies.
Women Empowerment Initiatives: Implement and support programs aimed at empowering women within the supply chain, promoting inclusivity and creating opportunities for skill development.
Negotiating contracts, and implementing sustainable practices within the plastic supply chain.
Monitoring compliance with regulations, tracking key performance indicators, and continuously seeking process improvements are crucial aspects of this role.
