Job Position-General Manager (GM) – Pharo Health, Somaliland
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in medicine, Public Health, Business Administration or Finance.
Postgraduate qualifications in business or healthcare related field will complement the bachelor’s degree above.
Experience:At least 15 to 20 years of overall professional experience of which at least 10 years should have been spent in a senior management position with profit/loss responsibility, in a healthcare institution.
Thorough knowledge of the global healthcare service delivery industry. Health insurance industry knowledge will be an added advantage.
Proven track record to manage Profit & Loss (>1M turnover) and operate a profitable health business.
Strong commitment to the professional development of staff; successful track record of recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
Performance management: in-depth knowledge and work experience of setting performance targets, performance appraisals and reward systems.
Ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investment in people and systems; keen in analytics, organisation and problem-solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
Significant experience working with or as a member of a Board of Directors will be an added advantage.
Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions.
