Job Position-2 Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:MA/BA in Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Development studies or related fields.Academic qualification relevant to Farm Africa’s areas of operation (preferably agriculture and climate change)Demonstrable knowledge project cycle managementAwareness of broader trends in international donor landscape, relating to PCM and MEL and results-monitoringKnowledge of the development and policy environment in EthiopiaKnowledge of value chain development and climate smart agricultural practices
Demonstrable understanding of monitoring, evaluation and learning principles and practices, including the application of the log frame approachPrevious NGO work experience in rural developmentA minimum of 4 years proven experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative field research and analysis for large, multi-purpose projectsExperience conducting field research in a rural contextExperience in synthesising data and drafting clear written reports/briefingsCommunicating technical information to non-technical, ‘lay’, audiencesProven experience in training and capacity building in MEL practices
LOCATION: Metu Field Officewith frequent travel to project implementation sites
