Job Position 1 – Assistant Finance & Admin Officer/Tigray/

Required Qualification and Experience


Education: University degree in accounting with at least 5 years of experience for Diploma holders and 2 years for BA in accounting; Experience in cash handling and stock management
Extensive experience in administrative activities in a busy office environment, report writing, and compiling monthly information.
Excellent communication skills in both written and oral English and Amharic
Ability to manage filing systems quickly and systematically and willing to travel and live in remote locations.
Use of Excel, word processing, and email is a requirement.
Experience in non-governmental – organizations (NGOs) in Ethiopia is an advantage.
Knowledge of Financial and administrative management.
Strong knowledge of spreadsheets and its use are the requirements

Job Position 2 – Assistant Logistics Officer/Tigray/

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: University degree in Logistics and supply chain management and related fields from well well-recognized academic institution.
For fresh graduates having good education records and those with limited experience in the logistics area.
Team player and good communication skills, both oral and written in English
Flexible and can cope with pressure.
Proficiency in computer applications such as word processing and Excel is a plus.

Job Position 3 – Program Manager/Tigray/

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Master or MSC/ BA degree in Social Studies, Development, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Programme Management or other related fields and at least 5 years of experience for MA/MSC or BSC degree with 7 years’ experience.

Essential Experience and Skills:
2-3 years’ experience in supervisory/staff management roles and programme management, preferable in INGOs;
Experience of developing collaborative partnerships with other organizations;
good understanding of budget development and management;
strong communication, negotiation & representational skills;
Experience in working with and through local partners;
Proficient in computer applications (word, spreadsheet, power points, Office 365 etc.).

Contract Length: Ten-month
Responsible to: Humanitarian Program Manager and matrix with Country Director
Duty Station: Aksum/Adwa
Responsible for: Management of HelpAge’s program, and staff in the Field Office

Key Relationships:
Internal: Addis; Humanitarian Programme Officer; Communications Officer; Finance Manager, Head of Finance and Operation and Country Director

External: Liaison with ARRA, UNHCR, and other humanitarian actors

Job Position 4 – Protection Officers (Tigray & Amhara)

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BSC or BA degree in the field of emergency/disaster management, Social work, human rights, special needs etc At least 5 years relevant experience in management of projects specifically related the specific area required. Experience in project implementation, monitoring, evaluation and understanding the use of log-frames. For MSC/ MA degree minimum of 3 years’ experience is required.

Project management and peoples management Experience: at least 2 years’ experience in project implementation and management, of which at least 1 years preferable in INGOs; ability to set clear objectives and indicators; plan monthly project activity and implement, monitor, ensure quality of work and follow up on spending; comply to local and donor requirements; adherence.

Behavioural Competencies: result oriented and able to work with his/ her team members in line with organisational priorities and have the ability to cooperate and support others so as to drive high quality work; should have the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and work under stressful environment conditions. Having good analytical skill is a must and requires a person who is self-managed, committed, knowledgeable and confident.

Others: This post requires a person who have the ability to engage and demonstrate on data analysis and interpretation; understanding issues of older persons and proactive in creating clear referral linkage; willingness and interest to work with partners and other sector leads.
