Job Position-Customs Specialist / Assessor
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:BA Degree in:
Business Management
Economics
Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Or related fields
Work Experience:Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in customs operations
Out of the total experience, at least 2 years must be in customs assessment
Mandatory Requirements
Strong competency in HS Code Classification
Customs Professional Qualification Certificate is mandatory
Salary:Negotiable

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare and assess import and export customs declarations
Conduct accurate HS Code classification and tariff determination
Review shipping and customs documents for compliance and accuracy
Coordinate customs clearance processes with relevant authorities and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Customs Commission procedures and regulations
Follow up customs assessments, approvals, and clearance status
Advise clients and internal teams on customs-related requirements and procedures
Handle customs system processing and declaration submissions
Maintain proper customs documentation and records
Support operational efficiency and timely cargo clearance
