Job Position -1 School Director, Primary School (Grade 1-8)
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Master’s degree in educational leadership, Management, or a related social science field.
Proven Track Record:
5–7 years of leadership experience in an educational or complex NGO environment.
Specific experience in Inclusive/Special Needs Education (highly preferred).
Demonstrated success in Fundraising and managing multi-donor relationships (local and international).
Change Management Experience: Proven ability to lead a school through structural or cultural shifts.
Essential Competencies
Technological Proficiency: Ability to oversee the transition to digital administrative and monitoring (MCE) systems.
Financial Literacy: Competence in budget planning, resource optimization, and navigating Ethiopian financial regulations.
Interpersonal Energy: A “boots-on-the-ground” leadership style—relatable to young students, yet authoritative with staff and stakeholders.
Ethics s Integrity: Unwavering commitment to the GCS Child Protection Code of Conduct and the school’s religious values.
Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Amharic are required. Strong competence in communication with international partners is essential. Additional asset: Knowledge of German is an advantage.

Job Position -2 Cook
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:A minimum of a Certificate in Food Preparation, Catering, Bakery, and other food preparation operations or related fields from a recognized TVET institution or accredited training center.
Proven work experience as a cook, preferably in a schools, hotel, restaurant, cafeteria, or institutional kitchen.
Training in bakery work, and experience in the preparation of baked food products such as various breads, pastries, cakes, biscuits, or other bakery items is an important asset.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, nutrition, hygiene, and sanitation standards for both kitchen and bakery.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good physical health and ability to perform kitchen and bakery related duties for extended periods.
Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, reliability, and cleanliness.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and child-friendly environment.
Requirement Skill
Strong knowledge of modern kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
