Job Position-Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience; pharmaceutical, import/distribution, or trading sector preferred.
Proficiency in Peachtree/QuickBooks or similar accounting software and MS Excel.
Sound knowledge of Ethiopian tax and financial regulations.
Strong attention to detail, integrity, and analytical skills.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Record and maintain daily financial transactions, ledgers, and journals.
Process payments and receipts and perform regular bank reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier and customer accounts.
Handle import-related costing, Letters of Credit (LC), and foreign currency transactions.
Maintain inventory and cost records in coordination with the store/warehouse.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws (VAT, withholding, profit tax) and file on time.
Support audits, budgeting, and management reporting.
Liaise with banks, the tax authority, and other regulatory bodies as required.
