Job Position-Senior Accountant (Female only)
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in general accounting, where the last 2 years were a senior position.
A minimum of 2-3 years of recent, dedicated experience in construction accounting is non-negotiable.
In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), specifically regarding construction contract accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the proper application of revenue recognition methods (e.g., IFRS 15: Revenue from Contracts with Customers) for all active contracts.
Perform complex general ledger account reconciliations and analyses, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Manage the accounting cycle for our business center, including recording rental income, tracking tenant deposits, managing related operating expenses, and ensuring compliance with lease agreements. (Our company owns a business center that it rents out)
Lead the timely and accurate completion of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial reviews and tax preparation, providing necessary documentation.
Ensure compliance with all Ethiopian tax laws and financial reporting regulations relevant to the construction industry.
Identify and implement improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy
