Job position -Senior Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education: BA Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience:4+ years’ experience, including 3 years in a senior role
Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws, IFRS, and cost accounting
Proficient in Peachtree/Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Preferred Experience: in export / import businesses, customs handling, or foreign exchange
Bonus: ACCA/CPA or IFRS certification is a plus
Key Responsibilities
Oversee full accounting operations (journals, ledgers, closings, and reports)
Manage export/import transaction records and foreign exchange reconciliation
Prepare accurate cost accounting for meat production and shipments
Ensure tax and IFRS compliance; handle VAT, withholding, and income tax
Supervise junior accounting staff and coordinate with external auditors
Liaise with banks, customs, and internal departments for smooth financial workflows
Salary: Negotiable (based on experience)
