Job Position-Senior Manager, Human Resources and Operations
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Professional certification in HR or Procurement (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, CIPS) is a strong advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Demonstrated experience managing Human Resources, procurement, and administration functions in an NGO (NGO experience is mandatory).
Strong experience working with donor funded projects and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated knowledge of Ethiopian labour law, procurement regulations, and administrative best practices.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent knowledge of HR systems and Ethiopian labour law
Solid procurement and contract management expertise
High level of integrity, accountability, and ethical judgment
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Fluency in English and Amharic (written and spoken) required.
Proficiency in HRIS, procurement software, and MS Excel.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Occasional travel to field offices within Ethiopia may be required.
Standard office environment in Addis Ababa.
Ability to work longer hours during peak periods (e.g., audits, year-end closure).
