Job Position -Cashier Accountant

Required Qualification and Experience
Education: Level IV diploma or equivalent.
Experience :Proven experience as a Cashier Accountant or a similar role is a plus.
Strong numerical and customer service skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is a plus.

Responsibilities
Prepare payment after reviewing the documents, recording and accounting for receipts, and maintaining records of all transactions.
Daily reconciliation of cash and receipts and recording this on an Excel spreadsheet. (Handling petty cash)
Handles company petty cash by a generally accepted standard norm.
Prepare monthly petty cash reports to submit to the immediate supervisor.
Collect cheques from each customer during their in-person visit.
Depositing money and cheques in the bank regularly.
Prepare a CRV for each transfer and cheque collected from customers.
Processing cash advances, staff claims, and daily entry of receipts, including cash.
Maintenance of the payment sequence;
Prepare cheque payment voucher and cheque request form.
Prepare a withholding tax summary and voucher for each purchase and service upon payment.
Prepare payment summary and post to the system/follow up vendor-related transactions.
Apply a paid stamp to each payment receipt.
Assists in the conduct of internal and external audits.
Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports & financial statements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or top management.
