Job position -Accountant
Required Qualification and Experience
Education:BA degree in Accounting/ Finance.
Experience : Minimum 2 years of progressive experience as an Accountant in private Company
Additional skills : Thorough understanding of the Ethiopian Tax Legislation
IFRS experience is mandatory.
Accounting software (Peachtree) and advanced Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel.
Language : Excellent written and verbal English skills.

Duties &Responsibilities
Ensure that all financial works are done within the provision of the ‘Klaver Flowers Financial manual’.
Maintains up-to-date and accurate recording of financial transactions on the day-to-day basis
Make sure that all supporting documentation is prepared and filed according to proper procedures
Prepare weekly budget request / liquidity overview.
Ensure timely settlement of advances.
Maintain the bank file, ensuring that all bank information is properly filed and updated
Ensure the preparation of accurate transfers
Reconciliation of the monthly payroll & Others
Approve Goods Receiving Notes (GRN) and Goods Receiving Issue Notes (GRIN) when presented by the inventory controller. The GRN or GRIN has to be checked with the payment and packinglist.
Supervise the activities of the cashier & also check the timely replenishment of petty cash
Make sure settlement of Government Obligation on time (VAT, Employee Income Tax & Pension), that penalties are prevented and that declaration can be done efficiently.
Direct internal and external auditors or tax office to ensure compliance
Train new employees in the financial department
Conditions of Employment : 60 days probation period& will become permanent based on result of
performance evaluation during the probation period.
